Recent WSLGAA Activities
§ Trainings: WSLGAA has coordinated a series of CPE-qualifying lunchtime trainings and periodic seminars and discussion groups to share knowledge among local government auditors and to assist in meeting Government Auditing Standards Continuing Education requirements (GAS 3.46-3.49).
§ SAO Coordination Meetings and Protocols: Since the inception of the State Auditor’s Office (SAO) authority to execute performance audits of local governments, WSLGAA has been working with SAO to cooperatively develop and follow a set of protocols to be implemented when SAO reviews a jurisdiction with a performance or internal audit function. Efforts in this area are ongoing.
